Dr. Morgan Lowder

Generally speaking, my research sits at the intersection of institutional analysis, political ideology, and public opinion. The current focus of my research is U.S. social welfare policy, with an emphasis on the consequences of conditioning welfare benefits on labor market participation and the ways in which work-conditioned welfare policy, or workfare, generates indirect benefits to employers.
